Life After Tony Robbins’ Book — Midlife crisis remedy
Mid-life crisis: a period of emotional turmoil in middle age, around 40 to 60 years old, characterised by a strong desire for change.
This is a year after I read Tony Robbins’ book called Awaken the Giant Within. We all go through a mid-life crisis at some point in our lives. A year ago was the time when I had a relationship breakdown as well as a challenging period involving my family overseas. I considered myself resilient and driven enough to feel a sense of accomplishment prior to that point, but I realised that being resilient and driven were just not enough. We need to understand ourselves better and take intentional actions that are in line with our values.
I was looking for some answers before I read his book. The book really taught me valuable lessons — being an action-taker rather than expecting people to behave in a certain way. After all, we can control our actions, but we cannot control how others act.
I have also started to journal last year. My journal is pretty much structured based on the book.
