Growing up in Japan, the tradition of crafting New Year’s resolutions was deeply ingrained in our culture. Schools actively fostered this practice, with students, including me, creating resolutions and proudly displaying them on walls — an act that seemed to infuse these goals with a tangible presence throughout the year.
